2003 U295 Generator Removal

Has anyone removed their generator POWERTECH 10 KW OR 12 KW from a 2003 U295 or a generator that's in a quite box and do you a have any tips? I'm thinking about removing mine and doing a major service.

Just removed my generator from my 01 320.... I rebuilt the box, replaced the isolators, hoses, water pump, belt, and then on the generator head cleaned it and replaced the end cap bearing.
As far as removing the entire unit, or course the fuel lines, starter wires and exhaust disconnected. I'd suggest using a forklift..... it's heavy! When it's pulled out enough, then you can disconnect the wires in the control box. Mark everything, take pics of everything. It is a large task, but if you're mechanically capable and Not scared, you can do it.
