Xantrex 817-1800-02 Installation in 95 U240

My 95 U240 does not have an  inverter.  I have got a Xantrex 817-1800-02 inverter.  I do not want to use the ACC function nor the AC pass thru option.  What is the output AC wire size from inverter to AC subPanel?  What  is input DC wire size with wire length max 5' ?  I will start with 10 cuFt refrigerator from Lowe's  I think its a Magic Chef.  Later original Sharp Microwave.  Things I should look out for.

Pat,
Why don't you want to use the "pass through" feature-- it allows automatic switching from inverter (from house batteries) to shore power or generator when available?

In terms of wire and fuse size-- what is the capacity of the inverter?  That, not what you plan to run at just the beginning will determine wire size. The instillation manual should give guidance here.

Are you going to install a sub-panel for "inverter power out" or wire inverter 120 VAC output directly?

In determining wire size from house battery bank through fuse to inverter, be sure to add both positive PLUS negative when going to the wiring charts.

Looks like 2/0 gauge for the 12v wiring and 14 gauge for the 120v wiring.

Usually these coaches have 2 120v breaker boxes or a switch box wired in to provide inverter power to some of the functions. Things like the ice maker outlet and microwave, or the 120v outlets. Since yours didn't come with one, I'm not sure how your 120v is wired. The AC pass through option is nice because you don't have to manually switch anything when connecting to shore power. But if you don't use it, then when plugged in your 12v converter/charger would be running the inverter which would be running the loads like the fridge or microwave. That fridge only pulls about 180w when the compressor is running, so that inverter will have no problem keeping that going.

My 817-1800-02 is an inverter without the charge function.  It is 1800 watts continous use,  The pass through option of the inverter, I don't understand completely.  I will go with a AC subpanel to connect the inverter loads.

Thanks kgrover for the wire size and other info.
