Using your FREE Library Pass, head over to our excellent volunteer staffed Foretravel Library.  Once inside, look for the Schematics section, where you will find MANY factory electrical diagrams.

Take your time, look around...see if you find anything helpful!

Also if you let the forum know in the post what model you have, that will also help. Some 84 were on a Dodge chassis and some were on the Oshkosh chassis. If on the Dodge chassis you might be able to pick up a Dodge motor home manual.

Thank you all for the help with the information. The model number of my unit is R-600. I'm not sure what that means.

That would be a Dodge chassis with a 440 Dodge engine. Now some of those chassis were modified by putting either an 8.2 Detroit engine in the front or a Cummins v8 diesel in the rear. The fuse block and ignition switch system were Dodge components. There are additional fuses installed under the lift up dash. So it depends on what system you have as to how it would vary from the original Dodge wiring harness.

Ok. Thank you for that information, that is very helpful. You also said I might be able to pick up a dodge rv manual. Where would I look for that, and would there be a specific dodge model that I am looking for?
It appears that one of the previous owners had an alternator failure, and decided to put in a smaller fodge type alternator  Presumably to save money. It looks like when whoever it was that did that decided to reconfigure the wiring so it would work with a non duvac psystem, and it looks to me like there are some misplaced wires, and I want to change it back to the original system. It looks like the only way to do that is one wire at a time, so for I have the alternator charging wire attached to the middle post on the idolater, and I have a 000 ga black wire running from the negative battery post to the outside case of the starter, and another 000 wire running from the positive post on the battery to the starter solenoid , from the diagrams I have which are marked as A-2703.01, and the second diagram marked as A 2703.00. But now here is where I am confused, there is a second wire, about 4 ga. Red coming off of the starter solenoid same connection as the 000 ga. Wire that goes to the battery, this 4 ga red wire goes toward the rear of the unit, originating from the starter solenoid and running about 4 feet towards the rear and terminating at an electronic block, mounted on the frame rail, and where it appears to be feeding between 6 and 10 smaller ga. Wires. , what I do not have is a heavy wire running from the starter solenoid to  one of the isolater posts, both diagrams call for that to be there. I have a shielded about 2 ga wire running from the booster up to the right front of the underside of the vehicle, and attaching to a device that is mounted to the frame between the propane tank and the right front wheel,  the device sort of looks like a starter, but I believe it is the hydraulic pump for the leveling system . So that is where I m right now, any direction or instructions or advice will be grestly appreciated. I will
Post updates as they happen. I think I'm on the right path, I don't think that either of the diagrams that I have as a guideline are the correct diagram.

You might find a R or M 400,500,600 Dodge service manual on the internet. Unfortunately that manual will only show you the original wiring diagram. It was changed from original when the coach builder installed things like battery isolator and hydraulic pump for leveling system. So you will have to try to figure out what someone previously did. The original Dodge alternator was about a 70 amp. Where are you located? Maybe you could find someone who worked on that vintage of Dodge chassis when they were new. I started working on motor homes in 1978 so worked on lots of Dodge motor home chassis.
