Tires 1984 Foretravel

Hi, I have another question. Being that I just recently purchased this vehicle and don't know a lot about it, I really appreciate having you people available to answer some questions that without you could take many more hours. So I do thank all of you for sharing your knowledge with me
    Now, the question, this vehicle has very good tires on it, they look like the original style of tires. They are narrow at the bottom where the tread meets the road. Because the unit is old , these narrow tires tend to wander from side to side. I'm wondering if I can put a fatter tire on this unit without causing problems. Thank you.

What wheels and tires were Original Equipment (from the GVWR sticker in the coach)?

What tires are on there now?

How old are they (last for digits of the full DOT number are the WEEK and  YEAR). It will only be molded into one sidewall of each tire, so could be facing inward.

Coach new did not wander. I sold them new in 84. I have swapped front tires left to right on coaches to go straight IF the tires had no directional arrow.

Common issue was the spicer 710 steering box needs a bench centering.its in the shop manual for the Oshkosh. Three hours shop time. Then goes straight. Original manual said to perform this after the first three hours of use new. Fixed hundreds of all brands coaches steering issues back then

Air pressure
With the R9 tires I've found that when the pressure gets near 85# they tend to wander, 95# seems to be compromise between steering accuracy and comfortable ride.

Same for me. 88 ORED
Drives better with the H rated 295/75/ than the 9R.
9R at 95 plus is fair.
The 295 at 85 is much better and the ride is about the same.
The rims and fender well are the limit. Imho.  My 7.5 are the smallest for the 295 but worked fine.
I may go that way next retire . 
The extra 1 in reduces the rpm by 100 at 64
