Sofa Detached from Floor

Hi all,

My wife and two friends sat on the edge of the sofa while converted to a bed and it detached from the floor, pulling the bolts and metal bolt sleeves (I don't know what they are correctly called) from the plywood subfloor.  The sofa is completely detached. 

I'm surprised that it had so minimal attachment considering it contains three seatbelts (edit: actually, the seatbelts are securely bolted to the floor, not attached to the sofa), but my real question is what is the best way to reattach the sofa to the floor now that the sleeves and bolts stripped out of the subfloor? 

Any suggestions appreciated.

House cars were exempt from most seat belt laws long ago.  Belts were/are  not required as far as I know other than maybe the front seats.  And maybe only the driver needed to be belted in driving.  I had customers have me put them in on the couch so the grandkids would stay seated more. So no steel in floor at the mounting points?  Never asked Foretravel if they steel framed the floor on ordered coaches with seat belts.  Or i do not remember as it was in the 80's

I would buy bigger anchors and bolts and drill the holes in the couch to match the anchor bolts. Take one of the anchors to Ace hardware to find the next size larger.

Since you have a 2002 I would assume that the sofa is in the slide like mine?  Mine does have factory installed seat belts and I assume they were standard in '02.  When not being used (and I don't use them) they are concealed down in the crack between the seat and back cushions.  I would have to look closer at mine but I would think the sofa bolts mount into the steel framing of the slide room floor and if yours pulled out I wonder if that might be an indication of some corrosion.  Are you able to determine what type of fastener was used that pulled out?

In our 2005, with couch in slide, the seatbelts are bolted securely into the frame.

Oops, in addition to my reply above, as Craneman replied, I drilled out the bolt holes for the couch and put in larger bolts.  I found some "furniture industry" specialty heavy duty nuts that self clamp into the plywood when bolted in.  It did require that I cut out enough access in the couch base to reach the four holes from underneath for the nuts.

Yes, I forgot that the seatbelts are bolted securely to the floor.  I will try one of these solutions and appreciate the help.

By way of an update, and out of respect for all of you that helped:

I reattached the sofa using threaded ceiling hangers, and instead of ceiling hanger bolts, I used shorter bolts that fit into the flange. It is securely reattached now.

Note: placing the brackets so they aligned with the holes on the frame of the sofa was a little tricky, given the tight work area. If anyone ever needed to try this, I'd recommend that you attach the flange and bolt to the frame of the sofa and set it in place over the existing holes, then mark with a sharpie before attempting to secure the brackets to the subfloor.
