Tire Locations
We arrived in Las Vegas yesterday afternoon and while I was disconnecting the Jeep, my wife hear air leaking and saw a big lag bolt stuck in the tread. I must have picked it up as I was getting to the RV park since my tire minders did not notify me of a problem yet. In looking further I notice a big chuck of rubber missing from the outside drive tire. It's possible that the lag bolt caught the drive tire and took chunk of tread out and then decided to be imbedded in the tag.
I got Wendy with National Tire Concierge Services looking for the tires and setting up the road side replacements.
Since I am getting two new tires, where do I put them? My first thought was putting the new tires as both tags and then moving the good tag to the outside drive location where that tire had tread missing. I know on some tires it is not good to change the direction of the tire. I also know that it is not a good idea to put a new tire on a dual tire location with a used tire since the wear is different.
