High Oil Pressure After Oil and Filter Change

Hi All, I've had this coach for a year. It's a 2002 U295 with a Cummins 400 ISL..  I just changed the oil and filter today. When I started it up, I noticed that the oil pressure jumped quite a bit higher at cool idle than I've previously seen. Normally I'm at 20 to 25 psi at idle at a cold start and it was 60. I used the correct LF9009 fleetguard filter, and I used the correct amount of 15 W 40 heavy duty diesel engine oil, this is the Kirkland signature brand manufactured by Chevron.  It met API CK-4/sn standards.

Incidentally, and I'm not sure if it's related but once I remove the oil filter, I saw a date on the bottom of October 29, 2020 with the letters FOT written on it, which I can only assume is Fortravel of Texas, which is where the guy had it serviced when he bought it. I know he did not put a ton of miles on it, but I'm wondering if this could be a factor.  It just seems really high. I'm inclined to let it warm up and see what happens if it drops, but I wanted to check with all of you guys to find out if I was gonna mess up my motor for some reason if I did.

I just went out and started mine.  I changed the oil in Nov before storing for the winter, so almost new.  Low 70s on the oil pressure.  When warm and driving, at idle, it's low 20s.

If the oil was really 5 years old, it would have been interesting to see an oil report.

I have the oil test kit and plan to send it in. I'll let you know the results when I get them.

If you mean test the old oil, fine but if you test the new oil the results will be it's new oil,to each his own but like the tires that Cosco
sells the oil may be made by Chevron but it's made to the minimum specs.

It's best to take the oil sample when draining the old hot oil as any contaminants will suspended in the oil and give a better indication of what the oil condition is.
