Side Window on Passenger Side

Does anyone know why Foretravel designers chose to use this T-Slider design for this passenger-side window?

Probably to allow air flow for passengers when travelling. My wife opens it all the time when we are on the road

I am just surprised they chose to use a design with such a small window.

Agreed.  We have to open it substantially to get air flow

I am replacing the other windows with insulated double-pane windows from Custom RV Windows & Trailer Windows | Motion Windows. I'm considering replacing the small T-Slider with a lift slide window.

I would think that a window that slides back, like the driver's window would be better than one that goes up.  That's just my opinion.

Wild guess, but maybe for safety?  A vertically open window, open at the bottom, is much easier to fall out of than a small horizontal T-slider.  Plus with a vertically-opening unit you don't have a larger single pane that doesn't have a bar obstructing the view midway up (or 2 bars if the window is open.)

Also, none of the coach windows open vertically - all are horizontal slide.

Understand. On the other hand—-I think I've seen pictures of Prevost motorhomes with vertical-sliding windows. Am I mistaken?

I've seen some Prevost conversions (older) where the lower portion tilted out a little, but not any with vertically sliding windows.  Most have fixed pane windows.  Obviously, the tilt-style can't be open while under way.

I like the small sliding window for a variety of reasons.
One being able to hold a conversation with some suspect individual in the middle of night, plus some ventilation in colder climates at night without worry. We have sliders on both sides of this one so no issues when wanting some outside air.

I find the small window handy in the hot weather that I can open it and run the fan to keep the coach
cool when I'm out and nobody can break in.
