ORED cruise control

Can someone explain what each device is and how it works in my cruise control? It's starting to "slip" and only work intermittently and I'd like a basic understanding of how it functions. This is on a cat 3208

When I had intermittent problems with my cruise control it was a grounding problem in the steering column, I think it started when I had the telescoping come up with a thump.

Thanks, Chuck. It turned out to be a low voltage issue that I was able to trace back to the isolator. I bypassed the isolator and we are cruising again, pun intended.
