Aquahot basement

On our 1998 u 295 with factory Aquahot the basement is noticeably hotter than barn temps  The basement thermostat set at 40 must be way out of calibration It been a hot summer in sc In the barn seems like the motor home should be a little cooler I turned basement thermostat to 0 Maybe basement will cool now  Anyone had a thermostat 30 degrees off?

Everything in the basement produces heat and there isn't dedicated cooling for the basement.

Aqua hot and inverter if they are running add heat. While my coach is parked I like to power everthing down to assist keeping the temps cooler. The thermostat you're talking about helps to add heat to prevent freezing. There is also another fan in my coach that at the highest setting still runs because it will be in 104 degrees today. I like to power everthing down to prevent the extra heat in the summer time.
