I agree actually you are including the water separator in the priming
But by doing this, the 33" hose from water separator to lift pump will be empty be cause it was disconnected from water separator to connect the siphon pump right?
What if , I disconnect the 33" hose from the lift pump and connect the siphon pump to it ( with the valve)
Then when fuel showed up, close the valve, remove the pump, and mount the hose to where it belonged
And then start priming from the lift pump while opening the valve

By the way, using an electric siphon pump to suck fuel from 25 feet away without being able to prime it, is already questionable, by connecting  the  pump hose to the outlet of water separator ,isn't going to require more suction force?
Is it going to suck diesel from the tank?

As I said before if your having to do all that priming you have an air leak some where! When folks change their fuel filters they don't go through all of this to get the coach started! Normally depending on the level of fuel in the tank when one changes the primary filter the fuel will drain back to the tank. Or if the tank is full it may continue to siphon out of the filter housing.

Sorry, I'm the first time owner of an RV, specially being a diesel pusher
And I don't have much knowledge, although I have been a Truck Driver for years, but I never run into such an issue with my trucks maybe because they were newer model
This was what I was thinking, but as you are suggesting it shouldn't take that whole work after replacing a filter or a lift pump to prime the system
 then I think maybe it is sucking air  from the section which was spliced by previous owner using a plastic cupler,  or the hoses are cracked and must be replaced.
My next step is to replace the plastic Cupler with a brass one I just bought and if that didn't fix the problem then more likely I need to replace the hoses
I mentioned earlier that I have ordered the hoses. I already have them to replace.
But I prefer to make the RV running in order to drive it to my shop rather than work on it in a storage yard
I like to mention that somebody was telling me that's when the fuel pump send the fuel to the injection pump to be delivered to the injectors. There is a return line with a check valve on it.
If any of you guys confirm that, could the Check valve be stuck in open position, not allowing enough pressure  build up to inject the fuel  to the injectors, and that causes the engine to die?
Let me add this statement, with all the headache I love my beautiful RV, and I am very happy that after two years of searching, I ended up owning a Foretravel
As soon as I fixed the fuel system, I'll work on my air pressure gauges system. Make sure the air pressure is correct if I need to I will replace the gauges.
I'm also planning to replace my headlights using peterbilt double4 x 6 LED like David Osborn has done on
And I am more happy of joining the Foretravel family on this Forum

Check valves are either working or not they do not regulate pressure. Where your check valve information is coming from needs to be confirmed. The fuel has to be returned to the fuel tank from the injectors and if there was a check valve in that line it would be open to the tank and closed coming from the tank but either way it is not your problem.

If you have fuel in the water separator and if the small filter on the side of the engine (secondary filter) is full hook up the hose from the water separator to the lift pump, open the valve and use the primer button on the lift pump. That engine should start and run speed it up to around 1500, don't let it idle at 700 and it should be running fine, then you can let it back to idle.
