Fuel card insurance!

The fuel card Rudy started us all on, now rebranded Open Roads emailed and then called me last week offering RV insurance on our 36' 99 U270
It was a no brainer and I signed up immediatly.
Agreed value policy for $67,000 with $1000 deductible, they did not ask for photos or paperwork.
Windshield glass added $103.32
Wife driving discounted $50
Personal effects $6000 added $35
Great price for insurance at $1000, for the year.
We were with SafeCo and exact same coverage begun out 6 years ago at $900 and was $1,800 for this year and was renewing in December most likely with an increase.
The new insurance policy is sold by ROAMLY 1-877-725-1245 and underwritten by progressive.
You can see the policy paper attached.
An agreed value policy means there is no appraiser if it's totaled, they write a check for the "agreed" stated value not what some uneducated "RV in his spare time" adjuster thinks he can screw you down to!

May I ask how they established the agreed-value number if not from purchase paperwork or appraisal?

We have agreed-value on our coach, but Progressive (through Overland) required a copy of the bill of sale.

Good question!
I asked for $67,000 feeling that was a fair price for the coach. I probably could have gone higher.  He asked a few questions why I thought this was a good figure and I said that these coaches in poor condition can be bought cheaply but this coach was fully restored, $20,000 paint and roof coating, updated front lights $2500, furniture all re upholstered etc did not mention shocks, tires, airbags, fuel lines, and all the other stuff, just that it looked like a new coach.
There was no appraisal process.
They did say that they may need photos and receipts but the policy was issued without needing to produce anything other than my credit card.

I could be wrong but to my knowledge the only insurance company that will cover full timers is Progressive.

Thank you for sharing.  they are certainly lower than other 'RV' insurance provider, even thru the same Progressive

This worked a treat for us. We are currently with progressive and switching to progressive via open roads saves us 31%.

They told me right from the start that according to their figures. Our coach has a total loss payout of $47,000. Very fair indeed. No agreed value even needed for our mostly bone stock coach.

Win-Win

I must have missed this. AGV is a must have for me and Progressive is my carrier currently. However, you have to play the game to get lower rates. I will reach out to them and see what they can do. Thanks for the info David.

I just renewed my Progressive insurance policy through Roamly as recommended by David.

The premium was about $250 lower than quoted by Overland for the same policy with Progressive.  Note:  Roamly listed me as the primary driver and said it didn't matter if Peggy was listed but I had them add her anyway.  When they added Peggy as a second diver, the policy actually went down by about $75.  Policy is about $960 for $70K coverage, $500 deductible, and $1M on liability.

I didn't really ask about Agreed Value (and maybe I should have) but the policy does specifically say that an Agreed Value Policy may require support by an appraisal at the insured's expense.  This is something you would have to do anyway with an Actual Cash Value policy after a major accident to support your claim so I went with Actual Cash Value and will cross the appraisal bridge if we ever need to.

I called Roamly and switched today. It's was about 1/3 cheaper at $927 vs $1428.  Progressive is still the insurer and AGV remained the same at 60K. $0 windshield deductible. Nice $500 savings for an hour's worth of "work".

It starts next week (you get a discount if you can wait at least a week), so I will call and cancel my current policy then. I really appreciate the heads up.

Well,
I just renewed our RV INSURANCE (automatically renews) through Progressive, an agreed value policy, that's $2134.00 a year so I decided to give ROAMLEY a call.

I went line by line stating the coverage that we have and they quoted me $1787.00 a year for the same policy.

I guess I'll be switching the RV and autos that was also cheaper than what we are paying.
