Results of the Recent Polls Conducted on the Foretravel Yahoo Forum
Hi All,
Some members have inquired as to the final results of the two polls that John Lang established in the Foretravel Yahoo Forum. The details may be seen by going to the Yahoo Forum and clicking on "Polls". However, we thought it might be helpful to share the basic data with all of you in order to clarify our (co-moderators John Sichenze and Don Hay) decision to keep the Yahoo Group open for the time being.
151 members voted out of 1269, which is 12% of the total membership.
72 (47.7%) want to move to FF
21 (13.9%) want both forums to continue
58 (38.4%) want to stay with FT Yahoo
In the second poll, 30 people said not to move unless 51% voted to move. 37 said not to move unless 60% of the voters concurred, and 20 said not to move unless 75% voted to transition to Foreforums.
60 members said they like Foreforums much better.
59 members had no issue with FT Yahoo Group "if it's not broke don't fix it..." .
Thus, it appears that the results were inconclusive and exhibited no strong mandate for either one, which prompted us to conclude to keep FT Yahoo Group active for the immediate future.
