Thanks, I have checked the boost switch and its wiring. They are both functioning properly.

I guess my question is what will this situation hurt. It has apparently functioned this way for a number of years.

I would guess the biggest concern would be if the coach was stored for any length of time without electric hookup.  If the chassis batteries are "permanently" attached to the house batteries, with no means of disconnect, theoretically you could drain all the batteries and be in a situation where you couldn't start the coach.

Too bad you're not headed to Santa Fe anytime soon or you could play the shoulder card with Steve...  :))

If there is a danger of the house batteries draining the starting batteries then when the Xantrex is off the voltage on the starting batteries should not be higher than the house battery voltage and I'm guessing the other-L- way around also. I'm guessing that there is a charger similar to the Trick-L-Charger somewhere in the coach. I'll spend more time looking tomorrow.

Please keep the thoughts coming. I will help me better understand what I need to check to insure I won't wake up some morning with not 12V on the coach.
