We have a Hydro-Hot that had the same problem.  The solution was to replace the stir pump, otherwise known as pump #3.
Aqua-Hot has excellent tech support for both the Aqua-Hot and the Hydro-Hot units.  Get the model number of your unit and call Don Quintana at Aqua-Hot, 800-685-4298 Ext. 137.

Most Foretravel coaches have the full size Aqua-Hot.

The full size Aqua-Hot has 16+ gallons of stored coolant (heat energy).  The Hydro-Hot has around 5 gallons.

The full size Aqua-Hot units DO NOT have a 'stir pump'.

After some more research I read that my unit is rated to provide 1.5 gallons of hot water with the water temp at 55F.

Steve

More precisely, your Aqua-Hot will provide 1.5 gallons per minute of 120 degree water at 55 degree temperature rise.

If incoming water is less than 65 degrees, the unit is not rated to provide unlimited hot water.

Try using water out of your fresh water holding tanks (which should be warmer).  If you turn on the electric along with the diesel, you will get more heat energy out of the unit.

we had that problem and it was because we did not have the "diesel" switch on.  Ours is located in the kitchen near the water pump switch.

For Roger, I wonder if you installed a little larger nozzel in the burner, if the Aqua Hot could handle the additional heat, it sure would make more hot water.  I think the present nozzel is about 1/3 gph, and just for grins, my home furnace uses a 1 gph nozzel it is rated at 100,000 btu.  Just wondering, as I have no need for more hot water, the stock setup is wonderful, thank you.

I would be afraid of overheating something and damaging the Aqua-Hot.  All of the parts are engineered to work together.
