Steve and I (and the Posse) should be arriving in Mineola on Sunday. I have an errand to run in the area on Monday, so we much appreciate the Civic Center allowing us to do early arrival (paid separately from the GV; I called them yesterday to make sure).

We plan on arriving Monday afternoon after our MCD ordering/measuring.

Marilyn and I cruised through the campground for the Grandvention. (It is within 1/4 mile of a big quilt shop in Mineola.) There are about eight coaches on site today. It appears that folk could travel directly from Canton to a site at Mineola.

We will be heading home from Canton because of other commitments next week.

Keep in mind that the Feral Hog Festival is next weekend in Ben Wheeler, TX, which is not far from Mineola. I don't think we will add that to our annual social calendar, but some folk might want to try it out.

When I called the Civic Center about early arrival (while we're in the area, I need to stop by Artwork and pottery restoration by The Renewal Factory! with some broken decorative figures), the gal said the Motorcade officers/planners were going to be there a few days ahead. The Civic Center was OK with us arriving on Sunday, as long as we understood we had to come to the office and pay them separately for the non-Grandvention nights. And there are no guarantees the site you have before the GV is the one you'll have for the GV. They appreciated the advanced notice and took our name and date of arrival. I also left a phone message for Beverly on Wednesday to let her know we'd be arriving on Sunday.

On the road to Mineola with Mom. Should be arriving Monday and have already checked in with the convention center for space. Hopefully will get some of my cousins out for a visit while we're there!

We stayed over in Canton and will be in Mineola t'morrow. Jane is VP of SC MC and has a Tues AM meeting.
I have my sign that Harvey Nelson Printed for me.
I gave out a couple dozen cards during Rally and there seemed to be good intertest in the Forum.

BTW, My coach not hard to find in Canton, Only GV in the park, I know of at least one other from SC MC so maybe I won't be the only one there.

Jimmy, are you possibly behind and to the east of us a site or two? There is a U280 or U300 there. We are an '03 with a tag and updated head/tail lights, silver/red #16146.

True, but no charge.

We're presently at MCD ordering & getting measured. From what I'm told it could be late morning before they get to us. Hopefully we'll be in by early afternoon.

The closing festivities are on Friday night, so I'm not sure how many folks will be here beyond Saturday morning. If you think you would want to/be able to come out earlier, we'll have the agenda/itinerary tomorrow, early afternoon, so I can let you know when the "free time" blocks are. Let me know.
