Carol, thanks.  My idea was not get Nac news when travel (can get it by Internet)
but local whetever we are.  (as one wrote, local weather would be good to see). Thanks.

More info on us.  No satellite for house so this the only sat.  Thanks for the RV number, but even without it they were easy...but glad to have it.  I rather hoped to use only the satellite and not the cable too wherever we are but may need for the local weather.  Guess I need the DVR feature due to time zones versus when I watch things normally (may be out when the program comes on early versus where we are)

Thanks too for comment on type of antenna.  A friend used a carry  one that sit on the ground, he did ok but preferred his mounted on a tripod.  Several
Friends with antenna on roof have led me to that, I believe it a traveler 5, will get HD.

Thanks,  mike

The ideal thing for me would be a sat dish that supplied tv and internet at the house, vacation house and coach with one receiver I could take with me wherever I go.

I think you can do that with one receiver for SAT and a subscription, and then buy an iphone with a $60 a month data package and use it as your phone and wifi hot spot. Probably the least costly way to do both if you are starting from scratch.

Thanks Tim.  I already have iPhone 4s so your idea sounds great for us.  Thus i have scheduled for May 7 to get the travler 5 for directv. Thanks

I have traveler with dish, and iphone 4S with ATT (company plan). Only change I might make is go VzN if I was paying for phone - ATT faster, VzN more coverage.

Maybe a cell booster antennae - lots of posts here on those....

Good Luck and enjoy!
