Foretravel sightings....Finally

Finally after close to a year of ownership, I've seen another Foretravel  on the road.

Ownership must sparse in southeast.  I travel 95-100,000 miles annually in western North Carolina between Asheville, Charlotte, Spartanburg area.    Have been disappointed in lack of foretravel sightings in my travels.  I see tons of other brands up and down HWYs 85/26/40.  So imagine my surprise today 3 miles north of my work place between Morganton and Rutherfordton  passing a late 90s U320 towing a red jeep wrangler!!    I was beginning to wonder if foretravel existed on this website only......    Gotta get out more to the western side of country.
I'll be heading to edisto state park, S.C. later next month.

There are not many here in the Northeast either. From what I can find out there is only one other besides ours registered in the State of Maine.

I've seen one on every summer vacation for the last four years since I've owned mine. I've seen a few around town while driving to or from work and we were on a short trip to north Georgia a few months ago in the car and spotted one at a repair shop along US 441 just across the line into North Carolina.  I have never seen another one at an RV Park though and we've stayed at some of the big ones.

Actually that's right, and also Steve and Michelle so that's at least four. And we haven't been on the road since May.

Check out the "Member Map" function on the Forum and you'll see a few members in western NC.  There are about a half dozen forum members here in the Atlanta area and I would guess a few more non-Forum members, too.  As ironic as it may seem just coincidentally there are two here in my subdivision and by chance we wound up in adjacent storage slips about 10 miles away.  Til the middle of September you may spot us on GA 400 going to or from Lake Lanier on the weekends.

RATBUG, The operative words are I 85 & I 40. Both these routes are miserable and the closer to Atlanta the worse they are. :)

David, Try driving west a bit on I 26 over the mountain, you'll see me sitting in my driveway because my son's illness and my aortic valve replacement have kept me from moving it. BUT SOON!
No RV! Have hung up the keys.

Willie and Carolyn Wilson showed up at my place today in their fancy, clean coach. Love the paint job. When i can squeeze them into my schedule, they will love their new floors. Ernie- oops- just looked down the forum and saw the place where I was supposed to post this.

This morning we saw a 2000 or later 1 slide U320 at Gitche Gummi RV Park outside Marquette, UP, Michigan.

The waters in Lake Superior and Lake Michigan in the UP were wonderful to swim in today.

Saw a late 80's grand villa parked at the curb on pacific coast highway in Malibu today.  No numbers I could see.  Looked clean but not perfectly shiny.

Keep your eye open in two weeks. Will be traveling right through your area on my way from Florida to PA. I usually take the 26 crossover to 81 for the rest of the trip North since it's a prettier route and the road is MUCH smoother! :))
Will have a little 8' trailer attached since I'm not able to fit all my entertainment supplies in the coach yet.

If you want FT sightings come west.  Arizona is the nesting grounds  for GV's, during June/July there were 2 87's and 1 89 at the Western Horizons Park in Camp Verde.

We made it to Tulsa, Ok today, had a little delay in Paris Tx. as when I had new tires put on the trailer at Herman Power Tires the other day, they did not replace the valve stems and dumb me did not ask if they had, so had one leaking, glad I caught it before it ruined the new tire. There were no tire stores open after noon in Paris, so went to Walmart and got a new stem put in. It sure is hot in Ok, and fires about 20 miles west of Tulsa. If I had known there were fires that close, probably would have kept on driving. It sure was good to meet so many people while we were at FOT
