Just out of curiosity (maybe?), what year/length/engine is this likely to be?  I figure 1980's sometime, but can't tell for sure which one it would be in looking at the (great) specs pages on the Beam Alarm site.

Maybe 1986 3500-ish?

I would almost bet that it is a Chevy P32 chassis with a 454. Does not look like an Oshkosh chassis. Tag tells me that rear axle was close to overload and needed some help.

Thanks, Gary.  I noticed the tag and wondered about it (since in the years I'm more familiar with, the tag is only on "bigger/fancier" FT's).

Since "my" 1996-2000 Unicoach does not seem to be popping up in timely fashion, I've been thinking about other options:  U280 or U300 or an older Oshkosh Grand Villa.  My one "thing" is that I need to be able to tow around 4,800# with around 300# of tongue weight (boat).  A somewhat lower "cost of entry" might be nice since for now an "A" is a bit of an experiment for me (on the other hand, if I find a nice Unicoach and then down the line decide it is not for me, presumably it will sell for more just as I paid more...)  I guess the main thing would be just the slightly less "heavy" feeling associated with starting out with a smaller outlay.  Or... just finding something!

In other words, I'm opening my mind to more Foretravels (but probably not this one).

It just doesn't have that classic FT look that the late 80s and early 90s do.  Go with an OshKosh for classic look, good performance and resale.  Have a great day  ----  Fritz
