Replace my fiberglass fan with what?

I have the Detroit Diesel 8.2 turbo-charged V8 with a fiberglass bladed fan. Do I change it to one with nylon blades? Where do I get one and how do I ascertain which one? We currently have two large electric fans on the rear bumper side of the radiator.
I know a PO had the radiator rebuilt and after cleaning the plugged radiator I found out why. The center of the radiator directly in line with the center of the fan were all chewed up and apparently those passages were plugged by the rebuilder. The engine never overheated in the three years we have had it. When cleaning the radiator on the engine side I did find two broken alternator belts hiding in the fan shroud.

We have a '91 with a 3208T Cat engine.  Several years ago our fiberglas fan came apart and destroyed the radiator.  We were pulled into Gunnison , Colorado to a shop.  They removed the radiator and delivered it to a local radiator shop.  When the re-built radiator came back, the shop had acquired a plastic fan that was not a perfect fit.  They put a bolt on to extend the new fan.

That was several years and many years ago.  Everything works fine.

Sorry, I do not know where he got the fan.

Good luck with your fan.  Remember, we had no trouble with it until it flew apart.
