On she sees a Foretravel in person it will dramatically decrease that timeline

This is exactly what happen to our seller.  "We are ok with this 1998 U295 for a couple of more years".  They both said that on Tue., and Thur. at FOT they were trying to buy a 2002 with 2 slides.  Called me Fri. and I owned it Sunday.

That's a question only you can answer.  However, based on what has been said here, contact them when you are ready to buy.  You just might call them and the reply will be, "Walt don't hang up I may have something here right now". Wouldn't that be a nice surprise?

Good Luck

We thought we were months away from purchase, the funds were there but not accessible at the time, and the SOB needed to be sold FIRST.

So we went to the local FT dealer just to look and see.  Our plans suddenly changed when the beauty you see under my name to the left of this post appeared before us.  The rest is history.  We scrambled to get the funds together while negotiating price and details, and became a two RV family for a few months.
I think our plan is to have enough saved to buy the coach without having to worry about selling our fifth-wheel first. That has been the process we've followed in the past (bought our first fifth-wheel, then sold our tent trailer, and the same with the second fifth-wheel), and I suspect we'll follow that approach again.

I'd like to think so, but my wife is very practical - aside from marrying me, that is :D. When she puts a plan in place, she generally sticks to it unless there is compelling reason not to. Hopefully there is a coach out there that will compel her. :) I am hoping to get her to see at least a couple of FTs when their owners pass through this area. It isn't really in the cards at this time for us to travel hundreds of miles to see a coach if we aren't prepared to buy. Getting time off work, finding someone to watch the dog and who is qualified to stay with our autistic son makes planning essential.

Ok update time..... I MOT never called me back but PPL did... Talked with a very nice guy at PPl who offered to buy it right out for next to nothing but did offer to sell it on there lot starting in the 25,000 dollar range then they would charge a 3,500 fee for the Service.. So this means if I went the PPl route it would likely bring us 21,500.

Like I said earlier this has been one awesome machine and never left us on the side of the road, It would for sure make someone a very nice coach if anyone is interested....I'm going to list it next week on CL in the Corpus Christi area for $24,500 And I just wanted to give the Forum 1st option

FYI We took a group of us this past weekend in the bus to see Miranda lambert concert and I noticed small Spider Cracks "DRY ROT" in the front pass side tire that I replaced new back in 2010....All other tires show no Cracking but due for new tires all around soon due to age

My name is Matthew and I can be reached by phone for any questions 361-244-0665..Thanks

Matthew,

I encourage you to post a classified on the forum - more visibility to the fact that it's for sale that way.

Al, that's exactly how that place that sells the Realm (can't remember their name right now) got started. Of course, buying them cheap is one thing - selling them for a profit is another.

Thanks to all for all the interest in our coach....It truly is a awesome thing to see so many  interested in a 18 year old FT..... The first guy to come down just bought it after a 4 hour scope and drive and I think he is going to enjoy the coach the way I did for the past 5 years.....Again, Thanks for all the interest and Happy travels to all

For folks who continue to "think about it", I would point out that a new Honda CRV costs as much as the price of this FT.  Any solid, running Foretravel for less than $30,000 is likely a great deal.  Pickups are in the $50,000 range these days.  I had to be a "2-Foretravel" owner for a couple months when I found mine.  Hard to make it all happen at once, unless you are at a dealership that gets a $3500-$7000 cut.

Brad, couldn't agree more. I have just found this posting yesterday. After deciding that we will need to sell the house to get into a rig, we purchased a 2011 Buick Enclave last Saturday morning. My wife and I are just sick, we paid a few thousand more for the car than for this rig. :-X :-X :-X :-X :-X

I'm happy that someone found quite a deal, maybe when the house sells we will to. Don't delay if you don't need to is all that I'm saying.
