I liked the Realm video, I like the Realm. Its a beautiful coach, I would love to own one.
I'm not sure for the price difference between the IH and Realm that I would pick the Realm. The IH seems to have a reduced price and the option of purchasing a lightly used model, these choices move the IH to a close price point.

I like my 95 U320, but I must admit it does look aged when sitting in a campground surrounded by more modern coaches. I knew this when I bought it and accept this fact. I also have to accept that it does and will require LOTS of repairs, and upkeep. I never know how to take the complement "looks good for a coach that old" If I could afford a newer coach I would certainly jump on it.

A newer coach purchase presents more questions to me, My coach is paid for, a HUGE plus and I bought it at a bargain price. Even with the thousands I have spent on parts and appliances and the thousands yet to come (all my own free labor) I still could sell it easily for what I have in it. This is all the plus side.

The other side is "those newer coaches sure look fine!" Sell the house, downsize, and open the check book for a new coach. Now the soul searching begins, How could I ever justify spending 3/4 of a million on a RV, a huge money pit. Answer is , I couldn't. Obviously some can.
I could buy a lot of airline tickets and stay in a  lot of 5 star hotels on the choicest real estate properties and pay for it all with the interest that the same 3/4 million would draw. I could buy a simple RV to camp in when visiting those out of the way Parks. I agree some of these high end coaches look out of place in a "normal "campground setting. They do seem to be built for glamor and show and a weekend at a outside event where you can show case all your stuff, nothing wrong with this, just a different end use than many here participate in.

Non the less, they sure are purdy!

I'm with you Lon, those new coaches look mighty fine. We have been parked between  2 newer full body paint coaches (SOB's) sure makes my coach look old. But hey I just smile at the thought of the title in the safe, and we nice and comfy in the old FT.

And when the Big New coach is on the side of the road with some check engine light on and all systems are shut down due to the  bathroom interior vanity light solenoid malfunctioning and the mainframe computer cannot auto diagnose the situation,You can glide right on by in your simple old dependable paid for coach and wave.

That Realm would sure look out of place parked under the trees next to my Brother in Laws tin barn.

OOPS, Tree needs trimming and coach won't clear edge of tin roofing, back to the drawing board.

Yes, the height is the main issue (other than depreciation) that would make the new coaches not a possibility for us.

I can see saw 40 or 45 into most places but we barely scrape under the trees as it is.

They are beautiful.

I have the height issue now.  I scrape the trees for a mile each way in my own neighborhood. Once out I have problems with trees along boulevards.  I also don't like the jacks for leveling. I saw numerous other small differences when I visited the assembly line that while not deal breakers, but I definitely prefer the IH45 over the Realm.  Realisticly, I would stick with the Phenix.

When a cactus rubs against my 93U280 it's Oh Well but a new three quarter million dollar coach it would be oh *%}%*!!!!. But then if I had a new coach I know we would not be visiting our favorite dry camping sites and what a shame that would be.

I read somewhere that most Americans spend 90% of their time indoors. Whether or not this stat is true, it does all make sense now.......

Guess we fall in the 10% bracket on that stat.

When I am inside my house, i consider my self inside.

When I am inside my coach, parked in some great outdoor setting, I consider myself somewhat inside and somewhat outside.  Maybe 50/50.

Yes, nice article, very complete in presenting this "new" FT. We are looking presently, had a CC Magna which we sold 5 yrs ago. Had lots in Las Vegas Motorcoach Resort. Now, with all our kids out, we're ready to sell a house a keep our second home in Summerlin LV and purchase a nice bus. Much to consider. Viewed all comments in the 4 pages about the REALM...now I've got mixed emotions. Not sure I can spring for an IH45 thus looking at the Realm. Also like the new LV 3 model which is identical to the Entegra Cornerstone model for 2016. So, this suits me just fine, I've got my floorplan I want, but the comments raised here about the REALM vs IH45 do concern me. Any input? Pro or Con? I'm open.
