Thanks for all of your replies and suggestions. I'm going to stick this out for a while and hope to squeeze a little more life out of these old batteries. I'm going on 85 and we are not using the coach much. It does make a good guest apartment and the generator is handy when we have our electric service is interrupted.

My 2 Cents.

Battle Born Lithium if the budget allows, and you boondock, which I'm 97.7% sure you will need a new inverter/charger to charge correctly. I've had good experiences with Lifeline AGM' in the pasts. Our MK Gels are still in decent condition, and I think since I've upgraded that old POS Xantrex Inverter they have never been happier. We recently installed our Victron 3000. Still can Boondock with a now full electric coach, and run the Genny about 1-2 hours to charge. I can see the charge cycles through my phone. The advantage of the Battle Borns, 10 Year warranty and they charge really quick, (much quicker than Gels) plus I believe these are the only lithium batteries today that you can take down 100%, (i have at least 10 friends who have made the Battle Born Swap) other lithium's I've seen can only go to 80%.  Good Luck.

OSIN where did you mount your li-ion batteries?  Are both your battery banks hooked together somehow?

I don't have them in this rig yet, as stated my gels are still ok for now, but i have the quote from BB, and I got a great deal. The gels will go away when i move to Lithium and am considering both mounting options, either existing space, or creating a rack space at the end of the short joey bed, (will need to be shortened, most likely) TBD

Can't wait!

Love the li-ion idea.  The main holdback is the temp restrictions.  Whether or not I would run into it is a point to myself.

I have no problem charging my 3 BBs with my Prosine inverter.  A newer inverter with a programmable custom setting would be better but the Prosine can be set for the BB charge profile.  So don't let that deter you from doing this upgrade.  I won't change my inverter until it goes out.
BTW yesterday I helped a friend with a Newell change over to 6 BBs from 6 8D AGMs.  Easy project and he is very happy.

I am getting 3 of the Oriellys 8D AGM deep cell  tomorrow for house batteries. Could not get the Deka flooded house batteries to hold a charge. (They had been discharged several times before I got the coach) How do you recommend setting up the solar controller and the inverter/charger?

The Oreillys you purchased are AGMs, they are the same as mine that I purchased a couple weeks ago.  When I find the docs I used to set float and bulk at, from East Penn (mfg of Oreillys Quick Start AGM, I will post and send you a personal  message. In the mean time I would use 14.5 and 13.3 for set points and of course enable temperature  compensation.
