I like the efficiency it offers, I'm just not crazy about how much is involved in doing it. I'm wondering how much a professional RV service center would charge for the swap.  On Monday, when I'm in NAC at FOT, I will ask them about it.  Any other suggestions about where to take it would be welcomed.  I'm based in Houston.
We had our residential fridge installed by the remodel crew at FOT.  They did a great job on the installation.  I am sure you would be happy with the work if you had a fridge upgrade done there.  The cost will be whatever they are now charging for "shop time" x number of man hours.  If you are having multiple jobs done simultaneously they will sometimes cut you a break on the hours.  I mention that because you said something about having a SeeLevel system installed.

Another good shop in NAC that we can recommend is Nacogdoches Motorhome Service.  We recently had two roof A/C units replaced there, and they did a first-class job.  Sometimes they can get you in when the "big" shops (FOT and MOT) are booked up.  I am sure they could easily handle swapping out reefer cooling units, and their hourly labor rate might be a little less expensive.  Wouldn't hurt to call and get a quote!
