07 Nimbus House batteries not charging on the road

I have a 2007 Nimbus with an 8K generator and the house batteries are not charging over the road.  I say 8K generator for a reason.  On those units a 3rd solenoid was added in the engine compartment between post #2 on the isolator and the boost solenoid.  This had something to do with a autogen start issued only experienced with the 8K onan.  There is a wire from the Onan EC30 that connects to the solenoid 12V excite stem.  The concept is that when disconnected from shore power and the engine is started that solenoid is excited and post #2 from isolator is then connected to the boost solenoid and to the house batteries.  Both this inserted solenoid and the relay associated with it have been replaced with new.  We are not getting 12v on the excite side.  Does this setup bring to mind any ideas from the electrical experts in this group.  Supposedly the excite wire is connect to wire #5 on the EC30.  This setup has worked for 100K miles and just up and quit. I've attached a drawing of the modification.

Work around  would be bypass  around the solenoid

Not sure what ec30 is  and if power is coming from the ec30 or the generator to power the solenoid

Does "Both this inserted solenoid and the relay associated with it have been replaced with new." mean that it has been working?  Or does it mean that you replaced the solenoid and relay and it hasn't worked since?
