We postponed the trip. No real hurry. A tech is coming out, Monday. It was arranged by Frigidaire, so I give them credit for finding someone to help us, quickly. He can access the back of the fridge, easily. Or, if necessary, I can pull the unit out with just a little cursing. Thanks for all the response. This was a stinker.

Super bummer. What's the ETA for the new one?

Almost anything today is best slightly used. Cars, appliances, etc. Everything that is going to go wrong has already happened.

Glenn, bummer that a brand new fridge failed but my experience lately is better to have DOA now than 2 months after warranty expires. Second time should take a lot less time. It will be worth it. We are really enjoying ours.

Warranties are nice.
Sorry for your loss.
I've learned through long hard experience that whenever I affix something "permanent" I'll be the guy that has to remove that item.
And just to tweak your nose a bit,

When you get a new refrigerator (or anything else) be sure you test it to make sure it operates properly before installing it!

The " Insignia" at Best Buy are pretty run/ tested as well as great price. The option for extended warranty is nice also.

If the new refrigerator gets laid on its back or side, while being transported to the RV, you're not supposed to test it until it's been upright a certain number of hours. This will usually be somewhere in the installation manual along with the recommended minimums for circulation on the sides, top, bottom and back. In researching my fridge, I read the manual for installing five or six different fridges. There is a surprising amount of variability in the recommendations.

The norm for air conditioners is same time vertical as it was horizontal. With shipping sometimes not following the arrow up while in transit my customers usually let it sit vertical the day before installation. The reason is if the oil doesn't get settled it could hydrostat the compressor destroying it.

I have the same fridge and it works great. You will need a door lock. There is one one line
that you can get. I made my own as it was easier than ordering one.
