Re: Rust under lip of bay door Reply #21 – February 23, 2026, 12:26:11 pm I'd check the floor inside to see if there was any water damage from above. Since it's only in one spot, that could be the source. The windows can leak inside between the walls. The walls have the wood panel and then foam insulation, the water can run down in between those sometimes. You can usually see the water staining on the wall. For reference. Here is a picture of the similar area on my 91. It also looks similar above the front tire where it's exposed to road spray and the floor above rotted out from a leaky window. I second letting us know the location and seeing if someone would go look at it for you. I love doing that and I'd be happy to do a video call with you so you can see as well.
