Our Splendide is not so Splendid anymore

We've been limping along for a few weeks with a Splendide that does not want to agitate during the wash or rinse cycle.  Sandy has to manually twist and hold the dial to generate the agitation movement.  We encountered this problem a few months back and resolved it by moving the dial around to the various cycles a number of times.  Wala!!  It was magic, and has worked for months until now and after moving the dial 5,000 times (or it seems to her that many) we are back to no agitation.  Grrrrrrr (that is Sandy growling)  Has anyone solved this problem?  Any suggestions?

Had that happen once. Pulled the washer out and it was a loose wire.... Hope yours is as simple.

When I've had issues, the Splendide tech folks (Westland Sales) were very helpful.  You might try e-mailing them (if you're still outside decent cell service).  Their tech support page is

Splendide Laundry Centers Customer Support Center

and their e-mail is service@westlandsales.com

A agree with Felix about the tech support.  Among the best I've ever encountered.  Still did not fix my problem as the stuff they emailed to me was way over my skills level.  Should yo need to call them:

Our new Splendide WD2100XC is now installed and working.  It was a real difficult install.  Part of the problem was that I did not know that I did not have to have access from the top, so I spent several hours dismantling the shirt closet above the washer/dryer.  I had previously converted the space to a closet with shelves for shoes.  Even without that extra work, it was really hard to extract the old unit and getting it out of the coach and the new one in was a physical challenge.

I also did not know that the water bibs and the electrical outlet for the W/D were under the false floor of of the sliding door closet right next to the W/D.  I had to rebuild the supports for this floor because of some pretty amateurish carpentry.

It took 3 hours for two guys (me and a good local tech) to do the install.  I am totally amazed that Virgina (of Virginia, Jim and Cricket) removed and replaced a Splendide all by herself.  Do not mess with her.  When it comes to repairs, she is a rock star.

Some notes on the 2100XC:

It is substantially quieter.

It is more user friendly.

It uses less water.

"Extracting" the old W/D was a real challenge.  There was no wiggle room and the concept of sliding it out just did not apply to the way this was installed.  Carrying the old unit out and the new one in was just under my physical capacity.  I do not recommend this as a DIY project

Thank You George - I'll claim that "Rock Star" status - Jim said give her an inch she'll take the mile  :))

Now I did get some help getting new in and old out - ain't got those kind of muscles - but rest was easy - It's amazing what can accomplish  ;) when determination sets in !!!

Sorry yours was more complicated, guess floor plan of models has lot to do with where plumbing etc are - mine was real straight forward

Did your dryer duct line up or did you have to make adjustments???

We had to make adjustments and because of your good heads up, I had a new flexible dryer hose on hand.
