There is a lot of wasted space in that J couch and I could never lay back and watch TV without sliding around the corner. Used about 2/3 sheet of 3/4" cabinet grade oak plywood. Finished with 3 coats of polyurethane, no stain and it matches quite well. Total cost was about $75.00. I still need to add a door for the shelf. Quote Selected

Easier hookup for the water than in the outside bottom China hutch door. Still likey be enough room for feet, especially if I raised it up 6 inches or so... Quote Selected

I made it about 6 1/2" high and about 5" out from the wall. I used some of the left over laminate flooring to enclose it. We will be heading down that way in mid November and may swing by for a chat. Went to Hobby Lobby and found an exquiste flip top antique replica desk exactly 26" wide. Set it in and it makes a great computer desk. 90 bucks and NO work. Quote Selected
