When you asked in an other thread about the annual cost to operate, did you not read the post to your question? This coach is going to need a lot more than an oil change. You are going to spend thousands just to bring the maintenance up to date.

I did read all of it and i can do the basic stiff myself and i can afford a few thousand a year if needed for paid maintenance i have re budgeted for. We just can not stay out as long until i need to have the business going good then we would be good to stay out forever or could stay longer in one place if needed to make more money to have extra bucks for this. We could stay out for 3 years as it is with a extra 5k a year for maintenance if needed.

But i would like to start in a unit that is in good shape and not needing a ton just to get it in shape to start with.  I am still learning all this the photos i took will help me understand parts and their location.
I am thinking this one is to high of a price in the shape it is in maybe but i do not know that much about the Foretravel's yet.

I have contacted another owner selling a 99 that says it is kept inside and looks great and so on it cost as much as this one after i would put new tires on.
Thanks

That is the catch/puke bag for the fuel filter that is pictured.

Also in this pic. you can plainly see that this coach don't have a retarder so if it has a retarder switch (don't be fooled by the switch label) it activates a jake brake. Not that there is anything wrong with a jake brake system. The 2 systems just work in very different ways.

The tag on the trans says HD4060. If it had a retarder it would say HD4060R. You have a jake brake coach. Nothing wrong with that jake in the mountains or at speed.

You have plenty of evidence of water leakage and possible some mold.
Some water marks are due to condensation, some are screaming leakage...
Bays look good, The Magnum Inverter/Charger is a nice upgrade as is the stacker W/D. 2K hours on the gennie with a 100K coach is about ave.
The rub marks above the tires are normal wear and tear. The condition of the decals is normal. Needing tires is $3K. Cleaning and recaulk of the rook a couple of coach bucks. Bad wood at the entrance is a coach buck.
I would rip out the original carpet and do a laminate or ceramic tile -
3-5K.

AC units are 6-700 each - Atwoods are a favorite. I would call this a 20K coach needing $15K to make it right.
You will need to do fuel lines within a couple of years. With this coach you can easily pull the propane tank and pull lines with a friend to do the job for $500 instead of $2K. Replace the Konis with FSDs - not cheap but WELL WORTH IT.

My 95 has its share of problems including horrible decals (which can be removed) a delam spot, some warps in the flooring and things I plan on next but it has good bones and its always ready to go anywhere.  I drive mine every other week minimum.

These coaches sold for $375K (up) in 1995. With TLC and a lot of elbow grease it 'could' be a winner, but not at their price. Call MOT/FOT and tell them what you are looking for and your budget.
For me it would be a pass. I spoke to the wife about selling ours at $23K and she said wait until next year - we have a pair of trips we want to do first, Dallas in November (likely a dream with her current condition) and Boston in the Spring - critical for a surgery she needs on her throat.

Best of luck for you. Whenever you pull the trigger you will have plenty of people here to cheer you on and offer advice.

After seeing it i am not as happy as i was hoping to be and still not sure about buying it now.
You should be able to find a good, clean coach around 95-96-97 that will be much less expensive in the long run.

You have asked a couple of questions about Foretravels that I'll comment on

.Is over 2000 hours on that generator past its time for a rebuild?
My '96  had 140,000 miles and the gen 2,100 when I bought in 2011. I didn't think either number was any cause for concern.
Given normal care, I would expect another 2,000 hours before  I'd worry. In fact, you would want to put a reasonable number on it to keep it in shape (just like the coach).

I am told this kind of unit has no level jacks that it dose it with the air bags only dose that sound right???
I don't know when Foretravel quit using jacks but the Unicoaches and I think the Unihomes as well  level use their air bag suspensions.

Ed,when you find one you like let the forum know, someone is probably nearby to look it over.I bought a 96 that did not "need"
much work but I can do all the work myself. If you can use the coach that you buy while doing some work that would be great.
