1995 we might be buying looks like very old cabinet style and shower see photos.

We are looking at this tomorrow they sent a few photos.

it is a 1995 after looking at a lot of them on-line i have never seen a floor plan like this one with this kind of shower setup.

And the front area cabinets all seem like a older style.

Any info on this couch would be great before we go see it - here is a few photos.
Any one know the old owner?
Thanks

If i was to pull up all the rug is it just wood under the rug? I would want to put down some hard wood style flooring from front to back.
Would that be hard to do with out any big problems?

Under the carpet you will find marine plywood.  So no problem going with another flooring material.

I like my tambor door cabinets vs doors with cylinders to hold them open.

Never seen this shower but it looks large in size.  My shower enclosure looks similar and does not leak, does not need shower curtain.

Has lots of kitchen cabinets.

Wood floor is no big deal vs other coaches.  I would add residential frig ang Xtreme headlights.

My 95 is going strong and will for years to come.  Just keep normal maintenance up and you are good to go for a very modest price.

Previous owners might have put the shower curtain up so they didn't have to squeegee the glass after their showers?

Looks fine to me and the shower will give a bit more elbow room. For a 95 it is i8n good condition but easy to change the whole thing if you wantewd too. Tambour doors are nice and Ruth's favourite.

I do not think i have seen Tambour doors in person before i was not sure how they even opened..

Hoping it has
Newer tires we can use for some time, Aqua Hot, TM Retarder, Newer fridge, New air bags, low hours or rebuilt generator, W/D, Newer ACs and not to faded looking.

I am told it has around 99k miles on it.

What should this be worth?

It appears to have a propane water heater and furnace, and so I don't think it has an Aqua-Hot.

It would be very interesting to see the complete floor plan!

Great catch - yup, you can see the vents for both of those in the bottom photo that was posted.

Some of the doors look like something other than oak but the big flat panels at the cabinet ends and in the BR look like red oak grain.  Always hard to tell for sure from a couple of pictures. 1995 U320 specs say walnut or oak.  have seen a couple 95 U320C models without Aquahots, apparently it was an option that year. The U320SE had walnut cabinets and an Aquahot as standard equipment.

Just getting ready to go ... propane water heater that seems like it would cost a lot to keep going all the time dose it run off elc when plugged in?

Will take a lot of photos and post them. We are all set to buy it if everything is ok.

Depends on how "thick" you are.

If you can safely crawl under with all the air out of the air suspension/air bags, no problem.  If on flat ground, driving up on 2X8's under all the tires easily gives me room to wiggle under from one end to the other.  Your "thickness" may vary.

Water heater might be propane only, or might be both propane and AC powered.  Ask when you look at coach.  Considered in the overall cost of owning and operating a diesel pusher motorhome, the money spent on propane to heat your water is insignificant.

Also, if desired, some propane only water heaters can be converted to dual power with a simple add-on device.

Good luck with your shopping visit!

Some available information states that all 1995 U320 models were SE (special edition) versions. The important thing to remember is that in that time period Foretravel apparently would customize a coach in virtually any way the buyer would choose. Therefore, one shouldn't be surprised to see some very unusual design features in one. This particular coach appears to be a very unique one.

A few early model year 1995 320 coaches were fitted with the Primus heat and hot water system.
Electric hot water heat option was instaled.
Primus boilers (2) run miserly on propane.

95 320 models generally had a 3 way water heater - AC, propane, engine heat - I never have run out of hot water with mine. Propane heat works well. AC units also have heat strips. We were in mid 20s once and just used AC heat strips and a small free standing electric heater. Pretty good for coach with single pane windows.
Make sure you have a retarder - several came with Jake brakes because the retarder was still a $10K option in 95. My jakes is wired as a one speed and does its job well.

This model was the lightest 320 made for 36 or 40 footers and the 400hp motor will give you a solid 9 mpg with a moderate tow'd.
Mine has the salon and bedroom side cabinets deleted and the floor is ginger oak front to back. Really opens it up.
Safe delete too.

Just got back... first impression was wow it looks nothing like the photos on the outside... It is very faded and someone on one side added new decals to part of it but not all the way making it looks even worse. all cracked decals. You can see the pattern of the inside wall beams on the outside of the walls in many area ...is that bad i am not sure what to think on that.. I did not see any declamation of walls outside.

Body no rust at all for most part and motor looks very clean and little rust. Both front and back caps leaked water in at some point and have a lot of puddy on them on the roof and stained on the inside.

Both ACs work but look old, tires look like new full of tread but are 7 years old so it must of been sitting for a long time.

Air bags look to be in great shape the MH was parked in the garage for clean up and service check with all air bags all the way up. Also the air bag hoses look to be in great shape.

We never got to drive it or start it as they say it is still be checked over was not happy with that after driving over a hours to see it..  The guy was putting in new parts to both front and back heating units.

Under bays looked great one had a huge slide out.

Batterys are from 2014 both house and 3 for motor.

He says it has a retarder on it i have a photos showing something saying that on a switch down on the left of the driver seat..

Fridge was working but we did not stay long enough to see if it gets cold all the way as they wanted to get back working on it.

Microwave is the original unit but looks to be in good shape.

Wood flooring in the kitichion area is very bad and has some warped areas in the wood flooring. So someone had made a carpet and cut it to fit that area to cover that up in place of replacing it. Also some water problems under the fridge area that looks like it was the problem out onto the wood floor.

Generator has just over 2000 hours on it but looks very clean from what i could see.

Lifting up the bed the motor area insulation is all in bad shape and needs to be replaced but motor looks clean.

Bathroom and sink area looks good love the wood except for carpet in the potty area my wife cringed at that.

My wife also gagged many times as the inside has a strange smell.. they told us it was a trade in and the people lived in it but it smelled like it has been sitting on a lot some place for a few years closed up and that is why the tires have no use on them but are old.

I am told this kind of unit has no level jacks that it dose it with the air bags only dose that sound right???

They will not provide any service records with it from the old owners so we know nothing about any service done to it oils changes or anything.

Many holes in the bottom of the floor made by the wheels.......
How can that happen.... Almost every wheel well the tires had been at some point smashed up into the floor and drove that way it looks like and the tires has rubbed holes in the floor over each wheel that someone had patched up very easy to see??? dose not look good.

After seeing it i am not as happy as i was hoping to be and still not sure about buying it now.

The one front steps the wood is rotted some to.

The front windshield has a around a half inch crack in it from being hit by something.

They would not let me climb up on the roof yet to look.

It has a very old looking stack-able washed dryer setup we would need to test.

Some lights did not work could be bulbs out.

Living room couch i was thinking we would take out and replace but it has some kind of heater unit under it on one side so we could not put another normal couch in that place.

Is over 2000 hours on that generator past its time for a rebuild?

I have a lot of photos i will put in a gallery to see of it i need to load then in and edit them down first.

Any comments on all this would be great to read... is this to much wrong or is this normal ware and tare for a 1995 it seems a bit ruff.
They want $29.900 after everything tax tag and other fees they charge it will be 32k and then it looks like i need to buy tires still and a full oil and so on check up. And the i have a not so good looking on the outside 95.

I would then need to rip out all the rug and put in the new flooring. More cost.

Thanks

Sounds like it need alot of time and $$$ to get it into shape and with no records it makes it even more questionable.  I was in Nacogdoches yesterday and the were some reasonably priced coaches at Motorhomes of Texas.

It has a lot wrong for a pretty premium price. Ive seen much better in that price range. Youre looking at an easy $20k on repairs if you pay someone to do all the work. If you can do it yourself, its another story, but its priced pretty high for needing so many repairs.
