Our convection oven sits on the oval table across from the sink. Yes, it has heat, but it's comfy in the morning and not close enough to the window (that we open in the afternoon) to bother the woodwork.

FYI, anyone removing their microwave, be sure to remove the stove cover, and put a heavy blanket down to protect the stove.
Those things are heavy. Our coach has a crack in the cover, where the PO broke it.

I also use it. The convection feature means I can use it as a oven, and since we are a all electric coach, that is invaluable. One thing I don't like about the foretravel coaches is the small, not well equipped galley. Can't imagine not having some kind of oven.

Bob, I asked that question  too back in the day .
They built the galleys small, because that is what people then ask for. Most of the owners didn't cook, they ate out because they could afford to.

We've used the propane oven twice and were not happy with the results either time, so it is now a storage place. We have a toaster oven on the counter that gets daily use, and the microwave (no convection) also is used daily. The cooktop is used maybe once every couple of months. The electric fry pan gets used almost daily. Of course, we got it a couple of months after we bought a new regular fry pan, which is why the cooktop doesn't get much attention.

The crockpot is also frequently used, and right now the cookpot (electric pot) is cooking some corned beef for Reubens.

Yes I understand that. But for me, and many others that like to cook, the galley is pretty small. I like to bake bread. Use ovens. etc. If your not like that, then this galley is fine, but for someone like me that likes cooking, its to small. Drawers are fine, but counter space is limited. Just will have to figure it out as I go.  Don't want to eat out all the time, or rarely.  If it works for you, fine. There is a lot of storage though and that's great.

We kind of do both.I agree they are small, but as other said, they have lots of storage. Our old Dutchman class C had like zero counter, and really no storage.
Most the people that buy used FT's, actually use them to camp. We dry camp lots, one of the main reason we got a FT, large holding tanks etc.

Chris I was responding to earlier posts. I agree.  I compare them to a sailboats galley. On a typical sailboat galley, you will have a 3-4 burner propane stove with oven, a microwave with or without a convection oven, good storage, and a double sink, plus a grill on the back rail. The counter space will be limited though. On my coach, I have a single induction cook top and a microwave convection oven. They came with a 2 burner propane cook top. For someone that cooks occasionally, that is fine. I would need more. Going to have to get a instapot at least.

The only good microwave is a dead microwave!  :))

Ended up putting in a little shelf in place of the microwave. I was thinking about taking the whole piece out but figured the ceiling would bear some serious marks from the microwave mounting. I just screwed everything so the next guy can easily put one back in, no sweat.
