Yup.

They are rubber.  So, harmed by UV light (far more than bags located inboard/at frame rails).  Also, harmed by petroleum products which are easy to get kicked up by tires.

If you are going to treat them, 303 Aerospace is my recommendation.

I too am in the pro-active corner, but also realize it's apples and oranges if you can't DIY.

I ordered eight Contitech AS9448 exactly two years ago and installed them eight months later.  I bought them for about $60.00 each, and now they are $92.16 each which is about a 50% increase, so don't wait too long.......................it's cheap peace of mind and everything is riding on them.

Where are you located?

Firestone (Bridgestone) has had the monopoly on air bags for many years. In the last few years, Continental has made their bags very attractive with low prices but I've noticed that they are gradually increasing the cost as Conti bags become more well known. They have an excellent world wide reputation for all of their rubber products. We have a set of their tires on one of our vehicles and are very happy with them.
