Great Write UP!  And those Deep Cycle Start Battery Prices....Wow!  I just Spent $1,800 on 3 of 'em!  Thanks!  We were going to Spend, about 3 Coach Bucks + Install Cost, for a New 3 Way! I hope the Boss likes this idea! Sounds like a winner, and I missed that post!

My 8D are not marked as deep cycle.  They are marked /sold as 1100CCA with 400 min RC, and 200 or more amp/hr.
 The "Kill a watt" reads; 12.07 KW @ 308 hrs. Today .

Wow, thanks for sharing!  So sorry that happened!!!  Scary Stuff, for sure!  You were Not Occupying it, at the time, I presume?
No luckily I was not in it , I parked it up the road in a layby near my girlfriend's place at the time , and walked down to her place which was about a 5 minute walk away , and their was a knock on the door early hrs of the morning , was quite shocked cause it was the local fire chief who I knew because my girlfriend's mate was married to him and only the day before he and his wife were sat in it with us having a few drinks and I was showing him around , and he was admiring how nice it was , so when he was called out to the fire  which totally destroyed it ,only the frame was left , he knew where to find me , I had only just sent off the registration documents , so it was just sheer coincidence , the fire insurance investigators couldn't tell me what caused it , but having heard about the dometic fridges having fire issues  , I just presumed that's what it was , I'm pretty sure it wasn't arson cause I have no enemy's , and nobody else knew it was mine , that was about 8 years ago , anyway the insurance paid up in full £25.000 and for a while I didn't bother looking for another one , and then one day the man that I had bought it from rang me up and told me about this foretravel grandvilla that was for sale for £16,000 and I went and saw it and loved it , in my opinion it was alot better  than the Fleetwood and cheaper , so everything turned out ok in the end , I lived in it for a while took it down to gibraltar and southern Spain , and also I liked the fact it was a diesel pusher cause the Fleetwood was front engine ran on petrol and LPG , so even though I was gutted about the Fleetwood at the time , everything turned out for the best and I was £9,000 better off

My new  little " apartment size" fridge draws less then 90 watts. The batteries run it over 30 hrs . How could you beat that?
That's cool , that's what I need , an all 12 volt fridge freezer , no gas , IL feel safe then ,
