We haven't been to FOT since spring of 2019, but have a service appointment early in December when we head to the Rio Grand Valley for winter.  So, I haven't meet Alan Hall in person (yet).  To me, one of the main issues (was) that there was no way to elevate a disagreement when you and the service writer were at loggerheads.  You just had to slug it out with the service writer.

That happened to us when our coach was handed back to us with 'check engine' light on.  It wasn't on when we arrived.  The service manager became quite belligerent - and we became pretty hostile as well.  My perspective was that the light came on while the coach was FOT's hands.  They needed to remedy it.  Yeah, I may end up having to pay for it, but we're not leaving FOT with service engine light on.  This is where the shop foreman (Alton) stepped in and told the service writer it was up to them to fix it...and he did.  Turned out to be a very minor issue.  But I gained a ton of respect for Alton and think very highly of him.  That being said, FOT does need a management-level employee to intercede when issues crop up.

Oh yeah, we were there for a complete engine/chassis service.

I'm at NMS at this moment. Came in Sunday night, they worked on coach all day resolving several concerns: ride height, brake pins, wheel bearing seal, etc. They also found a problem with the alternator. Will give update when I leave tomorrow.
