Our old HWH control

Well, I keep forgetting to post this.
1) Seems HWH is really backed up.
2) Almost all functions on the control work.
3) Sending the unit in would mean doing without leveling for a lengthy period of time.
4. Repair estimate starts at $200 minimum and then goes up.
So, here is what is/has happened:
We brought the coach home from storage last spring and I toggled the "AUTO LEVEL" on the control board. The jacks kicked down to the vertical position. That was it. No further action.
Then, by manually operating each jack lever I was able to level the coach.
    Retracting the jacks functioned normally.
Only item not functioning was the "AUTO LEVEL" feature. Other than that the "AUTO LEVEL" lever worked fine.
So, any ideas?

My '81 doesn't have the auto level but works as yours is doing now. Any chance the wire going to the level sensor has come unplugged or a wire is chewed or broken?

Don't know about chewed but the possibility of a bent pin isn't likely because of the multipin connector. And, the "AUTOLEVEL" feature worked before I put the coach in storage.
I have crawled around under the coach looking for any varmint damage but nothing.
Oh, when we went to pick up the coach I noticed that there had been a lot of condensation IN the coach. Remember my posts describing the leaks around the crappy Kingdome mounting bolts that rusted off? Well, apparently there was still some moisture present over the winter.
But the "AUTO LEVEL" rocker switch does the other functions just fine and lites up like it should. All the other rocker switches work just fine, and we had the system gone thru at HWH about three or four years ago and they installed a new motor, pump, and tank and then checked all functions.

HWH. I certainly would trouble shoot all the wires to the level sensor. And all the needed inputs and grounds.  Going threw this myself, I wish I had access to a regular wiring diagram, showing switches and positions. That I can see and figure out. Going between partial drawings gets me confused even more. I know the information to the tech that does it every day makes sense but to a outsider some of it is Greek to me. Guessing your control still works but is missing information it needs to function. IE exactly what Chuck is saying. Also for what it's worth when I sent my controller/computer in for repairs I followed chucks lead again by sending in just by talking to the receptionist. Yes it did take several; months to do, everything seems to with them. Work too fast and your out of a job, too slow you always have work for your tech? I certainly dont know. I have basically twenty minutes to do what ever I'm going to do at work and find myself expecting others to do the same. I'm attempting to be more patient.

When I called HWH and conversed about my HWH control the female on that end told me $200 just to look at the control and, because it is so old, that they wouldn't/couldn't repair it and that a new one would cost me an additional $1,000.

Auto level is a great feature. I hope you can find and fix the problem. The fact that the jacks extend but the autolevel process stops there is a good clue. I'm surprised HWH can't suggest a fix other than sending your unit to them.

While auto level is a fine feature, manual works great, you can keep using coach- or send the control in and you re at the mercy of whenever HWH decides to fix it and send it back- and you are stuck at home. A crap shoot for sure

I sent my HWH computer and touchpad in to them for repair on Dec 20th and got it back on the 9th of Jan. They replaced a relay, capacitor and a diode. Also a new touchpad membrane. Charge including shipping was $106.33. So grateful they are still in business to repair our old systems.

Also sent in my HWH computer and the touch pad that was cracked over one of the buttons. It took them three months to get it back but repaired the computer, sent me a new touch pad and shipped it back for $78.00. Thankful they are still in business at a very fair price. I agree where would we be without them.

I was told mine was a discontinued product but they could repair them if they can get the components.
