Hydraulic Leak?

Hello,

2002 U320...

What does this item do?

Is it safe to drive the coach with this leak?

If you know what parts I need, that would be great.

That is the hydraulic cooling fan control, controlled by the ECU. Depending on how much it's leaking it can be driven just keep an eye on the reservoir oil level. Big tank at left rear, also supplies power steering. Same oil as engine. I'm not sure if it's still available, check with FOT. Check the 2 hoses real close for the leak. You can disconnect both small hoses and plug both. It will default both cooling fans on to max. Then drive until fixed. Some here have converted to a wax valve. Use search mode, upper right of page. David,

That is your engine cooling fan speed controller.  You need to figure out exactly where the leak is located, then decide how to repair the leak.  See link below for some more info:

1. That appears to be the hydraulic fan controller.
2. If this piece fails the fans should default to running full speed.  Depending on which style that is it may just be the "O" ring leaking. No I can't tell which it is until it comes apart.
3. Could be just a couple of o rings or a complete new controller.

I agree with Chuck he just hit post first.
