Re: Both Right Rear Air Bags Leaking Reply #43 – December 03, 2017, 06:19:21 pm UPDATE, TO THE UPDATED UPDATE!So, after 3 weeks HWH tech calls me back. No worries, after 3 weeks I figured it out myself. Probably better anyway.I never called them back. But just a side note. I thought about the harvest thing, and I also mentioned I understand Iowa, corn and farming, as my family were all Iowa farmers. Being born there,I personally worked the fields as a boy. After more thought, I am not pleased waiting 3 weeks for a call back. As I mentioned, I had been to school at HWH twice. This is not some mom and pop store. It is a huge business, with big responsibilities to meet. The previous nice comment about "harvest time, and all hands on deck", should be the other way around. It should be all hands on deck in the service department, if they are going to be short handed. Thanks for letting me rant. I don't hate them, just disappointed. So here was the outcome, thanks to all of you and the search feature above. I am posting this, so others will have the info and part numbers.:I rebuilt R/F and R/R raise solenoids using these parts:Skinner Plungers V5-207N. Find Here:Inventories in Stock by Oemsurplus911.comI bought 6 for like $110.00 deliveredO rings:Fastenal # 1160809# 0413870#110480800Had to order them, took about 3 days16 of each $5.00Grange has them too#IRHC61WHD7#1BYD5Didn't check stock. They wanted like $18.00 for each size in 50 or 100 quantity only.I also picked up an extra complete new solenoid here for $110.00 plus the ride. Got it in 2 days.: Replacement HWH Air Solenoid RAP1940: nwrvsupply.comI have seen the magnet (electronic part) fail in the past, so I wanted a spare completeI fixed a bunch of really small leaks at the 2 front tank's (front/rear tanks)Replaced both safety protection valves listed here previously. The step solenoid was leaking, I had replaced the slide valve, so I used parts from that one to fix the leaking one.Outcome:Coach does not settle/move/ lower/raise at all in ride height position with key off, indefinitely.Front tank drops 5 psi in 24 hrsRear tank drops 15 psi in 24hrsThis perfectly fine with meHope this helps with others that have similar issues in the future.I'am only rebuilding my 6 packs as I go. if it ain't broke, don't fix it. As my Australian friends say "We got parts, we can fix it"And I will no longer roll out of bed, onto the floor in the morning! Cheers Chris Quote Selected
Re: Both Right Rear Air Bags Leaking Reply #44 – April 01, 2018, 06:31:02 pm Thanks for the valuable information about air bag replacement. I know there may be some step-by-step procedures out there, but thought I'd ask anyways. My driver's side rear/behind-the-wheel bag is leaking badly. I capped the air line, but the one remaining rear/front-of-wheel bag isn't raising the coach much, so moving may not be an option.I aired up, and need to know what else needs to be done to raise the upper frame member enough to remove/replace the air bag. Should the air be dumped after raising the coach, or can the upper and lower frame members be separated enough to remove and replace, with the HWH leveling activated?Any detailed step-by-step procedures would be appreciated.Thanks. Re: Both Right Rear Air Bags Leaking Reply #45 – April 01, 2018, 10:13:02 pm You will have to use a hydraulic jack between the arms that the air bags lift. You can't have air in the leveling system to change the bag. It might take a small jack then a larger jack to get the 12" between the frame supports to put in the safety blocks. Then you can change the bags on that axle. Yes there are some step by step posts depending on models. Quote Selected

Re: Both Right Rear Air Bags Leaking Reply #49 – March 08, 2019, 12:51:41 pm I realize this is an old post but I found a lot of good information in it as I have a similar problem, left rear is dropping instead of right rear. I was trying to better understand the system. I am assuming that on each six pack valve assembly there is a dump valve, raise valve and a valve for each of the 4 air bags. Is this correct? Also when fully raised I noticed the tag axle air bags look bad at the lower plate. Is this normal?Guess I don't know how to post a picture. I'll keep trying. Quote Selected

Is this correct? Not exactly. The bags in each corner of the coach operate as a "pair". The tag axle is controlled in various ways, depending on model year.Reading through the HWH manual linked below will provide a good basic understanding of how the leveling system operates.https://www.hwhcorp.com/ml20635.pdfThere is also a separate manual for each HWH Series system. Manual below for 600 Series, which may or may not be the one on your coach.https://www.hwhcorp.com/ml11148.pdf Quote Selected
