There was one coach out of the NE I thought with mold from a leak over winter storage outside. They sold the coach to FT but that is the only one I know of and it came from being stored in a heavy winter and water got into the rear closet somehow.

Horace,

We also remember something about this coming up before. We both thought that we were nuts, but at least you, John & us all are in the same boat where ever it is headed.

Being down along the Gulf coast, owning boats, and spending many years in the tropics, I just always figured that it was natural to ventilate...never leave a closed area or you'll find "stuff" growing in it.

I also received and deleted an email.

If he gets no responses then he is on his own.

Medical billing he mentioned is his biz can be a home based biz scam I have heard.

Successfull enough to buy a 2013 coach.

No one here has posted a mold issue to my knowledge?

Especially in the basic design?

He's behind the curve on the mold scam, most insurance companies have caught onto it.  Deadly black mold, yada yada, pain and suffering, horse hockey.

Amen, I don't see why this should be Foretravel's responsibility---- it didn't have mold when he bought it.
Like you, I have spent many years in the tropics.  Ventilation isa must if you don't consider mold your friend.

Where did they park it----- in a lake?
I have a lot of trouble believing that this is real.  If there was that much water gaining access to the inside of the coach it would have been obvious to anyone I suspect.  Unfortunate.

All,
We did not get the e Mail message.
We are in the FT Motorcade Directory, but with an incorrect address (deleted account), so I second or third the notion of a breech of the Motorcade directory information security.

Since this crazy dude is lawsuit happy, and trolling our forum for backup complaints, maybe someone (Foretravel of Texas) should go after him for using the Motorcade directory for the not-allowed purpose of beefing up his suit against FT.

We all know Foretravel leads the industry in build quality and in leak testing their coaches before delivery.  We all know any coach, no matter how well built, will develop mold under the wrong conditions.  Just leave the windows and vents open in a rainstorm, then close it up tight in a hot and humid environment, like Florida or Texas.  Then hire an attorney and go after the manufacturer to remedy your own stupidity and neglect.

Hey folks, none of us know the details about the circumstances leading to the mold issue. Speculation or acusations on our part is not particularly up to our generally high standards.  What or why this guy is doing what he is doing is his business not ours. If you don't want to be a part of it then don't. Delete his email or move it to your junk folder.  Responding to it just confirms that it is a good email address.

If his family is suffering illness from this problem then we can have sympathy and concern for them just as we do for each other's families.  I hope they recover safely.

Just my opinion.  Seems like it has taken up enough of our time.

I emailed him back saying my coach has been parked in Florida for 8 years with no sign of mold. He never came back. Now I know why. I wasn't saying what he wanted to hear.

In a way, as Foretravel owners, it is all of our business-- if Foretravel has no choice but to defend a frivolous law suit or to settle out of court to avoid large legal fees defending the law suit their base cost of operation is definitely affected.  If their base cost goes up, all of our owners cost for services, parts etc., also go up, so this will ultimately affect us all.
One of the things named in the article is an E coli infection---- I wonder how the motorhome caused that?  Certainly not from mold.
Like others, I am saddened that the family is having health problems, but I disagree with the tactics that are being used.  It just doesn't seem right.  All just my opinion.

E-coli is not from the mold.  It is a bacteria that lives in our intestines, so it seems most E-coli infections come from either food handled by someone who did not wash their hands after going to the bathroom, or they got some contaminated food.  Under cooked food that is contaminated can do it too.  Proper sanitation in the rv, around food, cooking, etc will prevent those problems from ever happening.

I am very glad I hit the delete button- never read the whole thing.

Now I get it . I bought a set of tires 2 years ago for my DW car . It was parked in our garage while we were in Arizona this past winter . When I checked things when back home ,---I fond a bit of --MOLD--by a rear tire .  So now if I sue the tire company , I get new tires ??? On further examination , I discovered (after the law suit) the mold was a cat poop loop . Darn , thought I had something there for a moment . :D  :D  :D  Brad Metzger
