A fourth photo from farther away showing the general location of the solenoid would be helpful. Richard Quote Selected

On our U280 the ignition solenoid is located under the lift-up dash cover, directly in front of the driver, behind the instrument panel. I'll add another photo later today. Quote Selected 2 Likes

It would be an alternative to the OEM ignition setup. As you say, would require a additional step in the starting sequence, which some might find objectionable. OTOH, if the selector switch was hidden or disguised, it would be a excellent anti-theft device. Even if a thief has the ignition key, they would not be able to start the coach. Our coach uses the Blue Sea 9012 for ignition solenoid duty, and the Blue Sea 7701 magnetic latching solenoid for BOOST solenoid duty. I consider both devices well worth the (considerable) expense.ML Solenoid - 12V DC - Blue Sea Systems Quote Selected 3 Likes
Re: Ignition solenoid sanity check Reply #28 – January 21, 2023, 12:44:27 pm I just put in the 500 amp Blue Sea in and did away with the isolator and if the cables had beenlonger I would have removed the boost solenoid. The 500 amp Blue Sea could be run from theignition switch. Quote Selected
