Best place to mount the silver leaf display box

Hi all,
I just bought a used silver leaf for my 1999 U320 and was wondering if anybody has pictures of theirs and where they mounted it for the best location.

Thanks

I used Velcro to fasten my 10" tablet over the dash.  Offsetting to the left to allow view of air gauges.  Works well for me.

Looks cool ...

What did you do over where the old 5" 4:3 display was, looks like a double or single DIN head unit?

So I see you have a tablet for a screen. How is that possible? Mine is an old display in a box?
Is there an upgrade for the 1999 u320?
If so, that would be way to cool.

I have a fairly larger tablet and I mounted mine above the steering wheel. Looking up was awkward at
first but now it works perfectly. I have a 1999 U 320.

Craneman, That's correct, it is Vmspc software on windows tablet.
Steve, if you are referring to the monitor, I removed the original and replaced with a new backup camera and monitor.  Below the monitor, I installed a pocket that fits the old radio slot.  Use the pocket to hold traveling notes.
Gold Nugget finder, sorry, I was not aware of a Vmspc/Silverleaf other than the one I have.

I'm also using the Silverleaf VMSpc software on a Windows convertible laptop (Microsoft Surface 4 Pro) which has a removeable keyboard.  The JIB connects to it via USB.  I mounted mine to the dash where the original Javelina display was.

Here's my installation thread:  VMSpc installation

Will the software work on an Android based tablet or device? There are in dash stereos double DIN or flip up, or fixed large screen displays that run on full android. Most have either WiFi or Cell connections. I have a 7" fixed in my 91 Vanagon and I use for most everything including the TPMS. Multiple video inputs also.

I put a mini-PC in the overhead cabinet to run the VMS PC software. I installed a touchscreen LED monitor on a track mount rail that I installed vertically, out of the picture image behind the shade valance. Maybe not as ideal as positioned down in the dash gauge area, but a quick glance up and I can see the display. With the touch screen I don't  need to use a keyboard for regular usage.

After modifying my head banger I have all my monitoring overhead. I didn't want anything obstructing my view and for me I doesn't matter if I'm looking down, to the side, or overhead I'm still  taking my eyes off the road for a second or two.

VmSpc runs on the asus tablet running windows.
