A/C Efficiency ?

I'm wondering?  What can we expect from our A/C units?

We're in a cooler climate right now, but it appears that the best our A/C is doing is dropping the inside temp about 5 degrees from the outside.

So just a general question.  How much does your A/C cool your interior?  5 degree difference from the outside temp?  10 degrees? or more?

Russell,

Good Morning!  I just talked with a few folks regarding your very question................from what I understand your units should provide an approximate drop of 15 degrees from the inside air temp.  I just posted a question on another forum on this board regarding how to cool your coach quickly in hot weather..............I tested my units and the drop is 15 degrees, the problem is if you start with an inside temp of 90 it takes awhile to get down to a comfortable temp.

We can easily make the 15 degrees.  BUT, I think you have to take additional measures, as in having the awnings out, and the shades drawn on the sunny windows.  We updated our coach with MCD shades; wow, what a difference in cooling the cockpit with the day and night shades down.

Also, I learned a great tip from Barry about running your 2nd BR A/C with all the vents closed and it pumps the cool air to the front A/C of the coach.  Gives you great flexibility in managing your cool air and where you want it.  That really makes a big difference. 8)
