Checking hydraulic - Dello 400 fluid level

I have always been pulling the dip stick to check this fluid level. There is a small window in the side of the reservoir that shows that fluid is present. Can I just observe the window instead of using the dip stick? That would minimize the chance of getting dirt in the fluid.
The "add" mark on the stick is about even with the bottom of the window. See photo.

You can use the window to give you an indication to check it with the dip stick.
Thus eliminating pulling the dip stick that often and keeping it a closed system.
