Partially plugged cooling core

Thanks to Canadian Customs, who searched our coach for 20 or so minutes, I found this 'radiator' core which I need to clean. I haven't looked to see where the lines go yet.
Is this the transmission cooler?
This looks like oil and dirt. Do you think this is a fluid leak? I haven't seen any wet spots.
I'm not sure how to clean this. The lines seem flexible. If there is enough slack should I remove this so I can spray it from the back after soaking with a degreaser?

Dick,

Clean off that hose to cooler connection and check it for leakage after a few miles-- a likely source.

Geez, that dirt may be all that's keeping it from leaking!  ;D
We'll be at the kid's house tomorrow and get it cleaned. That is our 'RV service/repair' place.  ;)
Is that the cooler for the transmission?
