Incredible pleasure !



I had to make this post in regards to what a terrible host I was today.
I'm posting under the "Foretravel Discussions" listing because I did learn SO much about the next coach we purchase.

Gary Omel, his traveling friend Sandy and all the "kids" pulled up in front of our home with his 2000 42' 320 about 2 hours ago. The sad thing was, when they left he said" Well, we were here for 2 hours and weren't even offered a sandwich"  OH!!! You talk about feeling like you know what :( OMG!

I thought they would just pull up, say hi, shake hands and be back on the road.....I had no idea that they would bless us with such a nice visit. In fact when he called and said we are about 7 miles from your place now, I panicked and said, well we can't invite you in the house because it's really an incredible mess.

Tammie ( my best half ) said to me.....ya know, we just don't ever have visitors so I wasn't sure what to do. Then she said how bad she felt to think that they were here for that period of time and neither of us thought to feed them.

So, we feel like Schmuck and Schmuckette...BIG TIME and wanted to apologize publicly to Gary and Sandy.

It was amazing how time flew while listening to Gary explain the ins and outs of his coach. OMG, the upgrades he's made....cabinets in the head room of the living slide, the 40" flatscreen with cooling fans in the front, extra storage. Not to mention the incredible job he did extending and  re-working the exhaust for his Aqua Heat system AND that awesome tag lift...WOW!

When he lifted the engine compartment door and exposed that beast a 450hp M-11 WITH ONLY 2 BELTS ON IT!!!!  I was sold and believe that I will be looking for that engine when we do upgrade.

Gary actually received a call from Maui asking him about FT coaches :)  He said, "well that's a first ! "

We met new friends today who really shared a great amount of information pertaining to life on the road ...in a FT and SO SO much about the coach itself.

We were truly honored...even though thoughtless to have offered them a bite to eat or coffee. Time totally escaped us ad we were so taken back to have them stop by.

What a wonderful treat it truly has been.

Tammie did say that our blunder would never ever happen again, just incase we have the pleasure in the future of having another part of our FT family stop by.

Lastly....Gary & Sandy, pleaseforgive us  ???

I had an opportunity to speak with Gary O this morning on an unrelated matter.  He told me that he and Sandy had a pleasant visit.  I mentioned your apology here and Gary said that he was only kidding you.  I know Gary fairly well and he would not intentionally hurt any one's feelings.  So, Carl, don't feel so bad.  It was just a humorous comment and nothing else.

Carl,,, We just met you and your lovely wife yesterday...After we get together several more times,you will learn when I am serious and when I am not. We were the hosts.You were visiting our house. We should have made the sandwiches. The brief visit was a real pleasure on our part. As you know, Sandy has family just south of you, so we will surely be back next summer. You can redeem your self by having water,sewer, 50amp service, and maybe a cable line ready for us,on your nice long driveway. [Just kidding again.]:>)
 We made it to Escanaba Mi. last night. Eau Claire,Wi. tonight. Mall of America tomorrow. Today another foretravel friend told me about your post so, for the first time in several weeks I fired this thing up to read it.
 You should feel honered,,,this is my first posting on the new forum.I hope it makes it. It has taken me about 1hr and 3 glasses of cheap wine to get this far.
 Really,,, we are looking forward to the next get together. Come to Fl. this winter.

Hey Gary, come visit us more often on the forum and you should be able to get that down to 2 glasses of cheap wine.  (And that stuff goes down slower, ya know!!) :P

Only two belts is only the beginning.
 
One is for AC.  The other for the Alternator.
 
You can loose both belts and carry on simply by starting your generator.
