need leftover solid surface material

Without boring everyone with sordid details, I need some tan Foretravel solid surface counter pieces. I need to make a new cook-top cover. This is the tan stuff used in 2002 and 2003 and maybe other models. I have found a knowledgeable and well qualified tech who can make me a cover if we can get some material. Old shower walls, old back splashes, anything left over from renovations would be suitable and tremendously appreciated.
No RV! Have hung up the keys.

David Flanagan From FOT remodel shop had material in stock when I had to make one for my 1999, have you checked with FOT?  Sent my old one (cracked) and he replaced the cracked half and shipped back.

This past April we had a wonderful countertop extension installed by the factory when we were in Nac.  Dave (and the masterful craftsman, Larry) were able to match the tan, 7yo solid surface material in our 2003 U295 (we do not have the contrasting stripe near the edge of the counter).

Not surprisingly, the line item pricing on the invoice does not drill down to just the solid surface material only (there are 3 items:  "table," hardware, and labor).  The "table" line item cost includes a walnut laminate edge, supporting wood added inside the sink cabinet, and black paint inside the cabinet to cover the brace).  Clearly, the actual solid surface material-only cost was less than the $522 line-item charge for the "table," which was originally a 20x24 piece (after deciding it would be too long, we had it cut down to 20x20), with a bullnose edge.

Hopefully, someone out there has leftover material from renovations which would be much less expensive than the FOT factory pricing.  But, that will at least give you an idea of cost if you decide to go that route.  Here's the finished project:

Dave also made a 2nd table extension for us in the same material but they cannot do the stripe near the edge.

He also made the countertop extensions in wood instead of the solid surface material.

OK! Since you asked! I have an Atwood 3 burner stove instead of the stock Gaggineau. Wife wanted 3 burners. Cocky Horace declined the standard protruding towel bar as it encroached on the walk thru space, especially when slide retracted. Twice, not once but twice, I have caught my trouser pocket on the protruding burner control knobs. Twice I have lit a fire under the cover and not immediately recognized that I had done so. First time, I managed to sand and bleach the damage, The second time it cracked the back half and seriously burned the underside of both segments, even stained the top. Sanding, gouging, scrubbing and bleaching have left the cover cracked, stained and sitting unevenly. (Phone calls to Atwood customer service resulted in a "AH ha!. You should have installed the towel bar, they sent me one, free. It is now on place. In addition I have a paint stirrer,painted matching black, slipped behind the knobs to prevent depressing them accidentally.
I have talked to Dave Flanigan, in fact, he helped repair the first accident. He advised that they could not match my counter color but offered to try for a very large amount of money. I didn't know it was just the darker trim strip.

Just out of curiosity ... because I would be the one catching my pocket and turning things on ... does that stove not have the gas shut-off for when you are in motion?  If you have the slide retracted I am assuming that you are not plugged in or set up for a stay somewhere, just perhaps stopped for a rest.  When we are in "travel mode", our gas stove in the '93 has been shut down and the pilot light is dead.  How different are the new-fangled cook tops?

Carol & Jeff. No, the Atwood has an electronic ignition, no pilot light. It is a cook-top. no oven. Yes, obviously the gas is on. Both incidents occurred while the coach was parked with slides in, once it was plugged to shore power (stored), the other it was in driveway with generator running for AC while unhooking towed after arrival at stick house.
