Foretravel roofs

I have someone coming out to look at my "oldie but goodie" tomorrow unfortunately he does not know anything about Foretravel motorhomes, in fact he has never owned a motorhome before. He is asking me about the roof and honestly I did not think our coaches have roof "issues". Could someone shed some light on this for me. And if you could tell me one thing that "sold you" and keeps selling you on Foretravel motorhomes,  I think it could be great to have a bunch of owners provide me with testimonials that I could provide to this "newbie".

With your coach there shoulld be no roof issues.  Roof leaks are quite evident if you had one.  Your coach is extremely clean and should sell itself.  If the person looking at it is partial to room slides, this is not the coach for that person.  Keep searching for a buyer that can appreciate the coach for what it is, a fantastic buy!
 
Selling point is that it will outlast the new owner's lifetime if the maintenance is kept up the way you've done so far and with the upgrades it has.  In fact, as I am partial to non-slide Foretravels, if I were in the market for one I would snap it up.
 
You probably have all the manuals and maintenance records...a BIG PLUSS!

Suggest he get up on the roof and walk all around.  Advise him that there are many motorhomes out there that have flimsy roofs that you can't walk on!

Also, we had one of that vintage that had bubbles under the fiberglass layer and it was grossly obvious, so you can assure him that if there were a problem, he would see it (our roof was repaired under warrranty)!

Sandraro. It is my understanding that roof problems are rare on Foretravels. I have owned four and only with this one have I had any trouble and that was due to a small mistake in the placing of the vents for the refrigerator. The tech used a drill that was too small for the holes for subsequent screws. Radiant stress cracks developed from these screw holes. The oxidation streaking of the sidewalls was apparent because this was my first coach with full body paint and it is a dark color. This can easily be prevented by waxing he roof, I am just too lazy and too old to do this.

That is a beauty, gives me the fever for body paint. My co pilot has started frowning a bit so I may need to ease up a bit on new major projects for a few months. Again, she is a beauty. Foretravel roof should sell itself, tell the gentleman to climb the ladder and be amazed!!!

Thank you for the information about the roof. And as a former copilot, I probably frowned more than a little bit when the coach went in for the new paint job. But, under the circumstances it is the reason people are taking a second look at this coach, and certainly will be a factor in how quickly it gets sold!
