window screens

 Dumb question,but here goes. Is there a trick to removing the screens to clean the entire window ?

Don't know what vintage you have, but on our 1993 model, one removes the plastic slide track under the screen to allow it do drop down enough to removed.

Use a flat screwdriver to gently start raising the U shaped track, then slide it out by hand.  To replace, slide it in by hand and then press it down.

On some later models, simply lift the screen frame upward to compress the leaf springs and the whole thing lifts out of the slot at the bottom to which Brett refers

   thanks guys, kinda what I thought, wonder if there are replacement guides available. As you probably know Bret, anything plastic in Texas is terminal out of the gate.

If your windows are the same as on my 93 U225, the windows came from Hehr International. They have a location in Kansas between I-35 and Topeka:

I stopped there last year and picked up a bunch of the Window Latch Fasteners and some weather stripping. They are pretty proud of the parts, High Dollar, and some are no longer available, but give it a try. Its better than the 5 grand for window replacement I was quoted at FOT.

Try using Armorall Wipes on the window screens.(available in the automotive dept at any WM) They work great at removing the pollen, lint and fuzz that reduces visibility and air flow.

I would like to remove the window screens on my 95 U320 to wash them and clean the tracks.
Is there a trick I need to learn in order to get them out?

No offense to Nitehawk, but think twice before using Armorall.  That shiny finish it provides is some sort of silicone or other compound that will attract dust.  I suggest a damp sponge and a dry cloth.

We've had good luck using a micro fiber cloth, rinsing frequently in water, and wiping the screens.  I was surprised how much dirt the screens can hold.

I just lift ours out of the track was with the hose nozzle and let dry in the sun.
