center trim strip between vinyl ceiling sections

After replacing the rear A/C unit, the trim strip between the vinyl headliner sections now fails to cover a small section where previously the old A/C unit took up more space.  I will have to replace this strip but am toying with the idea of using wood stained to match the walnut interior and installing a number of under cabinet type LED discs all along the length of it.  Can anyone who has installed LED fixtures tell me how many I can string together on one circuit?  I would probably tap into the 12V lighting wiring in the cabinets.  I don't want to create an overload on any 12V circuit.  I would probably do a run in the front lounge area, another grouping in the dining area and a third bunch in the bedroom.  If anyone has replaced this vinyl strip with something else I'd be interested in hearing about it in case I drop the idea of using wood.

Don't use wood stained to match the walnut....use walnut and keep the foretravel standards up.  Someone put oak at the top of the stairs and in the cockpit area.  I couldn't wait to replace it.
Ask David at Foretravel what they used to coat the walnut on your coach to match.

Regarding the number of LED's, I can't imagine that you would overload a 12v circuit with any reasonable number of LED lights. Keep in mind that I don't know the specific circuit you will be using or your coaches schematics but LEDs draw such a small amperage that I can't imagine they will create a problem. If you do create an overload, you will simply blow a fuse. Then remove some of the LEDs or some other load on that circuit.

On the leds, I doubt you can  over load the circuit.

And with the walnut, on my unit I found Minwax "Antique Walnut" PolyShades was a perfect match.
