1989 Foretravel monitor

Would the rear view/tank monitor for the 1996 coaches fit or be the same exact replacement for the 1989 coaches...I was told that the switches for the starter for generator etc. was "built in" to the 1989 monitor?  Thanks

I have a 1989 Grand Villa and, without dismantling the dash, it does appear as if the monitor has a front "shelf" that contains the on/off switch, the monitor/camera selector switch, the contrast knob and the generator start/stop switch with light.

My monitor unfortunately has the audit screen image pretty well burned in and the camera feature quality is very poor in comparison with what's on the market today.
